Life is Magic

Life is legit magic. Seriously. We come in on a cosmic wave of ecstasy. We, as souls, show up in this wild Earth School. We learn incredible things, love a ton and ride all the waves. This one short life can be overwhelming at times, however, there's many things we can do to infuse a little magic into our lives.
I work with the Angels, Universe and God all day. When I leave my house I ask the Angels to surround it in white and blue light and protect it. When I'm driving I ask for help getting a parking spot and to be surrounded by good drivers. I love weaving intentions and little spells into my life. I write wishes on bay leaves and burn them on new and full moons. When vacuuming I drop a little essential oil on a cotton ball and put it in my vacuum to make it extra fresh. I sprinkle cinnamon on my front door mat to welcome in abundance the first of every month. I charge my crystals under the moon to keep them clean and powerful. I burn sage every time I vacuum or come home from the grocery store. I love infusing intentional practices into my daily life.
We are magic and magic is all around us. When we can take a beat to breathe and choose to pair it with an action, I believe the universe conspires and helps our dreams come true just a little faster. I think that's what witchcraft is. Praying while doing a craft. Letting your hands and your mind be intentional with your wishes. When life gets too overwhelming and you're trying too hard, I believe the next step is being brave enough to just let it go. Let it be and trust. When I need some magic to help me trust, I light a white candle and ask the angels to help everyone and everything I'm worrying about. Then I ask them to help me come back into peace and presence.
There are endless spells, activities, practices, and intentions to help you weave magic into your everyday life. It's mostly about taking a breath and choosing to do a little something. Plant Spirit Guides

When I think of Practical Magic, besides my love of the movie and now the book series on which the movie is based, I think of returning to the natural rhythms and ways of our ancestors. I think of having a garden and an apothecary, herbalism and the healing power of nature. Recipes and knowledge handed down from generation to generation. I think of returning to a more natural way of being and living, and tapping more deeply into the seasons and cycles, and the wisdom within the As Above, So Below law of correspondence. I’ve felt very connected to a more natural, aligned way of being my entire life. My soul began calling me back to true human nature before my spiritual reawakening experience, which started in early 2015. It really started a couple years before then with a very specific resonance with lavender. I was attending yoga classes with one teacher who would come around during Savasana and place his hands over our faces so we could breathe in this amazing lavender essential oil he had acquired. Every time I experienced this, I was transported to another realm. The effect of the lavender on my consciousness and the resonance with it were pure magic. This plant was speaking to my soul.
At this time, I had already begun moving away from traditional Western medicine, pharmaceuticals and learning all about the healing properties of food for about ten years. I healed my migraines by changing my diet, I studied and learned all about what’s really in our food and completely omitted ingredients that cause harm. When the lavender began speaking to me, the door was opened to the magical world of plants and specifically, essential oils. I had a bit of a rocky start with Aromatherapy and essential oils, which I discuss in episode 5 of my Becoming Chiron Podcast. My journey was redirected, thankfully, when I signed up for a free webinar all about lavender. I wanted to know and learn more about this profound experience I was having! In many ways, that one webinar changed my life. I learned all about what essential oils truly are, an aromatic plant’s essence or spirit. I learned how they’re extracted, how much plant material it takes to produce one tiny bottle of essential oil and how there are actually two very different types of lavender, one that is calming and one that is invigorating. My mind was blown. The webinar was to promote the enrollment period for Aromahead Institute’s Aromatherapy Certification Program, and was taught by the woman who became my teacher. The call of the practical magic path was stronger than ever, and I enrolled and became a student of the ancient art and science of Aromatherapy.
Proper education, knowledge and wisdom were what I craved. I had no idea where the path to becoming a Certified Aromatherapist would lead me, and I didn’t care. At the very least, I wanted to undo the harm and misinformation I’d experienced at first, and to create my own products for healing, cleaning, self-care and as a way to return to a more natural lifestyle. I wanted to learn discernment, and how to differentiate between the reputable companies and the ones I now consider the “Dementors” of the industry. I was also surprised to learn that Aromatherapy’s foundation is rooted in ancient history, organic chemistry, anatomy and physiology, which were some of my favorite subjects in school. My mind was continually blown with each lesson, exercise and revelation. The healing potential of each beautiful oil, and combinations of oils, that I experienced myself and with others in my case studies supported what I was already feeling years before. Aromatherapy is exquisite and it’s not limited to one’s sense of smell. My rediscovery of the magical world of Aromatherapy came first in my journey, and Astrology came second. When I was guided to combine the two I learned why the lavender spoke to me so deeply. Lavender is the essential oil that aligns with the zodiac sign Virgo, which is the sign of my moon. My subconscious connection with this plant’s spirit, and how it was a guide on my journey was, and still is, practical magic!
